4 Days Murchison Falls safari will be a wildlife game viewing and boat cruise on the Nile delta in Murchison falls National Park one of the oldest parks in Uganda.
Detailed 4 Days Murchison Falls National Park itinerary
Day 1: Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, meet your guide and transfer to Masindi. Stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Take a walking safari to the Southern White Rhinos. Rhinos have been recently reintroduced in Uganda years after they got extinct. Lunch and later proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls National Park covers 3,840 sq km and has recorded about 76 mammal and over 450 bird species. It lies 619 m at the delta and 1,292 m at Rabongo Hill. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison.
Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
After a rather early cup of tea or coffee, we will go for a morning game drive. In the afternoon, you’ll have a boat cruise to the bottom of the Falls. The Falls are rare and magnificent; they are one of Africa’s wonders and a must-see for everyone. We, of course, cannot fail to mention that it’s from these falls that Murchison derives its name. Catch up with pods of hippos, crocodiles, and a vast number of water birds.
There are high chances of seeing the Shoebill stock from which our company derives its name. Enjoy these spectacular falls with an optional hike to the top of the fall, where the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gap, and at the bottom basks huge Nile crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park-Budongo Forest
After breakfast, we begin our journey to Budongo Forest for yet another exciting adventure. Afternoon, indulge yourself in this remarkable walk. Meet the real cousins of human beings, otherwise known as the chimpanzees. Chimpanzees share 98.7% of their genes with humans. Budongo Forest does not only host chimpanzees; it’s also home to other wildlife species like forest elephants, blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, elephants, buffalo, and over 360 different bird species. If you are a keen birder, be sure to record quite a number of birds. Return to the hotel, have some free time in the evening, have dinner, and stay overnight at Masindi Hotel.
Day 4: Masindi Hotel-Entebbe
After breakfast, begin the journey back to Kampala. Drop off at your preferred point in Kampala. End of the trip with Shoebill Safaris.
