4 days Gorilla Dian Fossey Grave Tour, Rwanda. Dian Fossey’s grave is located in a national park on a volcano. She was an American naturalist who dedicated her life to carrying out research on the mountain gorillas (Gorilla beringei). She spent most of her time trying to save the gorillas, but she was, however, murdered by unknown assailants in 1985 at her home. She was buried near the research center in the national park at the Kaisoke Research Center.
Detailed 4 Days Gorilla Dian Fossey Grave Tour
Day 1: Transfer from airport to hotel
Arrive at Kanombe International Airport and transfer to the Kigali Serena Hotel for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay. (full board)
Day 2: Kigali city tour
Early in the morning, after serving breakfast, go to the city of Kigali for a city tour. Learn about the rich cultural history of the people of Rwanda, especially the two famous tribes of Bahutu and Batutsi, which led to the mass killing in the 1994 Rwandan genocide. In the afternoon, after lunch, transfer to Volcano National Park. Visit the Ib’iwachu cultural village. Get a chance to buy different art and craft materials from the village craft shop. Return to the booked hotel for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay. (full board)
Day 3: Transfer to Kinigi headquarters for gorilla trekking experience
Early morning, after serving breakfast, transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters for a briefing before entering the park for gorilla tracking. Due to the park’s strategic location in the northwest part of the country. It hosts the rare endangered species of mountain gorillas. Carry with you enough drinking water, a packed lunch, and rain gear, as the weather may change at any time of the day. Spending the day following a man’s shy cousins is one of the best and most memorable experiences every visitor wishes to take home. Return to the booked accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay. (full board)
Day 4: hiking to the Dian Fossey graveyard
After an early breakfast, track the gorillas by hiking to the Dian Fossey graveyard. Return in time for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for departure.
