Progame for a 1 DAY KIGALI City Tour
You will be picked up by our driver guide upon your arrival at Kigali Airport or at your lodge for the day’s activity, and he will brief you shortly about the entire day’s itinerary arrangements and proceed to Kigali city to start off your tour. The tour will take you through the inside of Kigali sites and monuments, which will give you the real touch and feel of Rwanda’s history.
You will drive through the Kigali town by passing markets and hotels to the Gisozi Genocide Museum. A local guide at the site will lead you through the museum while telling you how millions of Rwandans, both young and old, were killed in 1994, as the museum was setup in 1999 and opened up in 2004. A small levy is charged per photo taken inside the museum, but outside the museum, it’s free of charge.
Later, visit to the President’s Palace Museum in Remera, just next to the footsteps of the Kanombe airport; visit to the Nyamata genocide; visit to the Kaplachi craft markets; and then the city tour will end with the visit to the Mille Collines Hotel, formerly known as the Hotel Rwanda, which acted as a rescue point during the total massacre in Rwanda, and this is reflected in the movie “100 Days.” End of service.
