Detailed 2 Days Gorilla trekking Rwanda itinerary
DAY 01: Arrival and transfer
Upon arrival at the Kigali Airport, you will be met by our safari guide from Shovel Safaris Uganda, who will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. The journey to the north goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that display Rwanda’s landscape and the beautiful, breathtaking land of over 1000 hills known as the Switzerland of Africa.
DAY 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and transfer back to Kigali
After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters of Volcano National Park. There you will be briefed by the ranger guides; with packed lunch, you will then start the gorilla trekking through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga. You may have the option of visiting the cultural community after tracking
After the trek, you will transfer back to Kigali. You may wish to enjoy a city tour including a visit to the genocide memorial site, depending on your departure flight. You will be dropped off at the Kigali International Airport to mark the end of 2 days of gorilla trekking in Rwanda.
