From the lows of Lake Victoria Entebbe to the snowcapped mountain Rwenzori, this 20 Days Uganda Holiday Adventure will leave you wanting to explore more of Uganda. Key highlights here include a visit to Uganda wildlife education center that ushers you into the pearl of Africa. It will take you to an encounter with the wild at Lake Mburo national park, remarkable are Zebras and giraffes, Queen Elizabeth National park, the mountain gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park  home to half of the reamining moutain Gorilla population in the world, Lake Bunyonyi for a romantic gate way, Mount Rwenzori for adventure to a typical Ugandan Homestay that is fully packed with fun and memorable activities.

DAY 1:  ENTEBBE

 Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your local Shoebill guide and transfer to Uganda wildlife education center (zoo) for dinner and overnight. Depending on the time of arrival (D)

DAY 2: UGANDA WILDLIFE EDUCATION CENTER

Morning tour of the zoo. There several optional activities to do here like keeper for the day, chimp close-up and many more. There is a rich bird life for those who love birding. Afternoon walk along Lake Victoria and visit Botanical gardens for various monkey species and birds. Enjoy the cool breeze along the paths in these gardens.

DAY 3: UGANDA WILDLIFE EDUCATION CENTER – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

 After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Stop over at equator for memorable photography. Lunch at Igongo cultural center.

DAY 4: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Morning game drive for sights of Zebras, Topi, Giraffes, Elephant, Eland, Impala, Buffalo, Water Buck, etc.  For birders, there are several birds along the trails.  Return to the lodge and go for yet another game viewing safari on quad bikes. Afternoon boat on Lake Mburo.

DAY 5: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK – JAJJAS HOMESTAY

After breakfast, morning game drive on our way outside the park for yet another chance of seeing game Transfer to Jaaja’s Homestay in Rukungiri. Arrive in time enough for lunch, check in you rooms. Relax the afternoon away.

DAY 6: JAJJAS HOMESTAY

Wake up to the sound of the early morning bird locally known as Kanyonza waking you up to go and milk the cows. Learn how cows are milked manually with hands and what keeps them calm. Here we will have a full day packed activities like churning milk to get ghee/ butter, gardening with hoes, grinding millet on a stone to get flour, cooking using fire wood, making banana juice, grazing and feeding cattle and many more.

DAY 7: JAJJAS HOMESTAY

Whole day doing the day today activities in the home as well as volunteering in a nearby school and health center. There is basketry and weaving here. Others can opt to do this. Optional evening village walk, entertainment from the local traditional dancers.

DAY 8: JAJJAS HOMESTAY

Whole day volunteering in a nearby local primary school. Some can teach, there is tree planting and generally interaction with the pupils. There is also a local health center 11 for those willing to volunteer in a hospital.  Evening village walk to the hot springs. Optional bath in the hot springs. It is said it has medicinal components and heals all forms of ailments.

DAY 9: JAJJAS HOMESTAY – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Lunch enroute, arriving in the evening. Evening game drive.

DAY 10: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Early morning game drive, Key species here include the lions, Elephants, Uganda kobs, Bush bucks, Buffalos, warthogs and many more. Afternoon Boat cruise on Kazinga channel.

DAY 11: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK- MOUNT RWENZORI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast transfer to Trekkers hostel Kilembe. Afternoon free time. Evening listen to stories around the fire place.

DAY 12: MOUNT RWENZORI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast with packed lunch, morning community walk on the foot hills of Rwenzori National Park. This walk puts you at 200m high and it will take us through Rukoki village. It’s not tiresome and children of 10years do it with ease. Picnic lunch and return late afternoon.

DAY 13: RWENZORI NATIONAL PARK

Whole day volunteering within the community.

DAY 14: RWENZORI NATIONAL PARK – BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

After breakfast transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national Park. We will go via Ishasha sector for chances of tree climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at Ride for a woman guest House, evening cultural entertainment.

DAY 15: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

After breakfast whole day volunteering with Ride for a woman project. There several activities here like basketry, weaving, tailoring, digging, collecting tea from the tea plantations.

DAY 16BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST – LAKE BUNYONYI

After breakfast transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Afternoon walk around Kabale town Dinner and overnight (B, L, D)

DAY 17: LAKE BUNYONYI – BATWA TRAIL

Morning hike to the Batwa trail for another unique experience. The Batwa used to live in the forest. They would hunt and gather honey which was the source of their livelihood. After the forest was gazette they settled just outside the forests. Learn their way of life and enjoy entertainment from them.

DAY 18 LAKE BUNYONYI- BUFUMBIRA VOLCANOES

After breakfast, with packed lunch hike Bufumbira volcanoes, picnic lunch. Return to your lodge in the evening. Relax and chat the evening away.

DAY 19: LAKE BUNYONYI – JINJA

After breakfast begin the journey to Jinja.

Whole day exploring the Nile, optional adventure white water rafting, visit the source of the Nile. Return in time for your flight back home or overnight in Entebbe.
