2 days Gorilla Tracking Bwindi trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, as the park is known as the home to over 800 mountain gorillas, which can only be seen upon your visit to this great national park, as it is one of the most popular safaris in Uganda, will leave you with a great memory of the gentle giants. Your safari begins from Kampala urban settings into the village setting of Bwindi Impenetrable; this tropical rain forest is a habitat for a variety of primate species.

From this forest, you will be tracking mountain gorillas, while from the other trails, you can go for bird watching and nature walks characterized by several birds, including Blue Turaco, Black Casque hornbills, Black and White Hornbills, Woodland Kingfishers, and Flycatchers.

DETAILED 2-DAY Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Safari ITINERARY

DAY 1: Pick up from place of accommodation and transfer to Bwindi (8 hours’ drive)

You will be picked up by our guide or company representative from your hotel of residence at 7:00 am, then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in southwestern Uganda. A stopover at the Equator for an informative talk, as well as some photo shooting opportunities and snacks. Then proceed to the Igongo cultural center or calm Mbarara town for your en route lunch at a booked hotel or restaurant, and then proceed through the rural countryside of Uganda. En route, view of the beautiful scenery, terraced farming to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas in the world. Diner and overnight at the booked hotel.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials, and thereafter enter the jungle to search for the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their lifestyle in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big, round eyes. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required, as well as walking shoes, packed food, mineral water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a hut.

The gorilla tracking experience takes half a day or a whole day, depending on the movement of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience in Uganda, you will have an informative and memorable experience in life. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Kampala via Mbarara. End of service.
