Gorilla & Chimpanzee safaris

Uganda is home for gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga National Park. Gorilla trekking activities can be done in these places and can be done through out the year.
20 habituated Gorilla have been trained to get used to the presence of human beings and can be tracked without any much interference to the visitors. 19 gorilla families live in Bwindi Impenetrable forest while the other group livs in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Uganda gorilla tracking Permits cost $600 per person for foreign Non-residents, $500 for foreign residents and Ugx250000 for East African citizens.

Uganda is home for the Largest population of Chimpanzees in Africa, they are sheltered in Kibale Forest National Park with other primates. Unlike Gorillas that live in small groups, Chimpanzees live in large families and can be seen moving together as they go about their daily lives in the forest.
Kibale Forest is also home to other 13 primate species including Monkeys that are seen jumping from one tree to another.
Chimpanzee tracking done at a cost in Uganda and for one to have that experience of searching them in their natural home to learn about their behavior, they need a Chimp tracking permit.
