9 Days Gorilla and Chimpanzee tracking safari

DAY 1: Kigali
Arrival at Kigali International Airport in Ruanda. You will meet and be welcome by your local shoebill who will then drive you your hotel
DAY 2: Kigali – Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast proceed to Lake Bunyonyi. At afternoon hike to the Batwa People (optional). These people have remarkable traditional stories to tell and most of all is their unique way of living and entertainment. Later relax at the lodge and enjoy the beautiful scenery punctuated by the terraced landscape.
DAY 3: Lake Bunyonyi – Bwindi Np
After very early breakfast you proceed to for Golden Monkey Tracking (optional +90$ p.P.). After Tracking you proceed to the home of the Mountain Gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is best known for superb gorilla tracking, but it also provides refuge to elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys and various small antelopes, as well as 23 bird species restricted to the Albertine.
DAY 4: Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, briefing, Gorilla Tracking and if time allows, evening community walk and entertainment around the fire place by the locals. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. This Impenetrable Forest is still one of the best virgin tropical rain forests in East Africa.
DAY 5: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth Np
In the Morning on your way, you will have a game drive in Ishasha Wilderness where the Tree Climbing Lions are found, then continue to the world-famous Queen Elizabeth National Park.
DAY 6: Queen Elizabeth Np
After an early cup of tea or coffee morning game drive with Lion tracking experience to the vast park for any chances of the early hunting cats, herds of elephants, antelopes, buffalos and many more.
Return to the lodge for a full breakfast, free time, after lunch, launch cruise on the famous Kazinga channel where you get to the schools of Hippos, buffalos herds and a variety of beautiful water bird species like jacanas, fish eagles and pelicans along the channel. Enjoy the much feared crocodiles as they sun bath away.
DAY 7: Queen Elizabeth Np – Kibale
After breakfast we begin our journey to Kibale Forest National Park for yet another exiting adventure. At afternoon you have a Swamp Tour. The Bigodi swamp is home to about 137 species of birds. It is rich in lush vegetation such as wild palms, figs and the dominant Polita Papyrus. The Bigodi Wetland Reserve is managed by the Kibale Association for rural development and environmental protection. If time is enough you can see the Crater Lakes.
DAY 8: Kibale Np
After breakfast, chimp Tracking (+150$ pp.) and meet the rather real cousins of humans’ beings. So many birds live on this forest. If you are a keen birder you will record a reasonably high number of different bird species. Various monkeys are seen tossing from one tree to another as you walk along.
DAY 9: Kibale Np – Entebbe
After breakfast transfer to Entebbe, proceed to the airport for your departure flight back home or stay one night in Entebbe.
