Detailed Itenerary

Day 1: DRIVE TO KIBALE/TEA PLANTATION
Depart for Kibale National Park 5hrs drive away from kampala capital and home to an estimated 1000 chimpanzees. This park is most noted for its large primates’ population; it protects a well habituated population of Chimpanzee. It also protects several species of Central African monkey including the red – tailed monkey, chimpanzees, olive baboons, black and white colobus, Uganda Mangabey, and L’Hoest’s Monkey.
En route in Fort Portal the heartland of the verdant tea-growing area with a great history dating back to the colonial times.
Overnight at Primate Lodge
DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE TREK BIGODI SWAMP WALK
You will track chimpanzees that day starting at 8:00am. The forest walk will lead you to their natural habitat where you will follow chimpanzees, meet up with them as they go about with their daily activities and watch them for an hour($150).
After lunch, you will do a swamp walk at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, which is probably better for general monkey viewing and one of the finest birding trails in the country.
Return to Primates Lodge for overnight

DAY 3: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK BOAT CRUISE

After breakfast you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda about 3hrs drive. QUENP is home to a number of wildlife including; elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, Uganda Kob, crocodiles, warthog, water buck, bush buck, topi, baboon and birds, all typical of riverine and Savannah habitats.
Boat cruise in the afternoon on the kazinga channel which, joins lakes Edward and George, have one of the most memorable experiences of this park believed to have the largest concentration of hippos in the world at kazinga channel.
Overnight Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 4: GAME DRIVE AND BACK TO KAMPALA/ ENTEBBE
Wake for an early morning game drive and expect to see a number of wildlife including; elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, Uganda Kob, crocodiles, warthog, water buck, bush buck, topi, baboon and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast and set off for Kampala/Entebbe about 8hrs drive.
