DAY 1: DRIVE TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

You will be picked from your accommodation after having early morning breakfast and drive southwest via Masaka with a stopover at Igongo cultural area for an enroute lunch. There after you proceed to Bwindi (Rushaga section) via Ntungamo. The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a bio diverse, mountainous area in southwest Uganda. Its home to many of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, who feed on roots, leaves and fruits from the park’s many trees and fern species. Restricted numbers of viewing permits help protect the endangered Gorilla families. You will reach in the late evening and check in to your allocated accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: Gorilla tracking Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park

Today you will wake up with an early morning breakfast and later head to the park to meet the guides for Gorilla tracking / trek briefing. You will be entitled to an hour with the gentle giants and the trekking takes roughly from 2-7 hours depending on how close the families are and ease to locate them. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch you may opt for a boat cruise on a locally operated canoe along the Bunyonyi Lake, either head for a community walk or remain at the balcony of the lodge and enjoy the beautiful scenery and atmosphere. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 3: DRIVE BACK TO KAMPALA

After having the morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge, get to the vehicle and drive back to Kampala with an enroute lunch in Mbarara and a stopover at the equator
