DAY 1: ENTEBBE   – JINJA

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after finalizing the formalities, you shall be welcomed by your guide, who will then drive you to your Hotel in Jinja

DAY 2: DRIVE TO SIPI FALLS

In Jinja you can vistit a school or an orphanage then drive to Kapchorwa town and the Sipi Falls area, found at the base of Mount Elgon is particularly famous for Bugisu Arabica Coffee produced and grown by the local farmers. Bugisu Arabica only grows at an altitude of between 1,600 and 1,900 metres, it is the main cash crop in the area and genuinely one of the finest coffee’s in the world.

DAY 3: SIPI FALLS

After an breakfast you shall have a nature walk to the Sipi falls. These are a series of 3 waterfalls. You shall walk to the falls that are located at the base of Mt Elgon. In the afternoon you will then have a coffee tour.

DAY 4: SIPI FALLS – KIDEPO NP

Today you will drive to Kidepo National Park. The Park lies in the rugged, semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with Sudan and Kenya, some 700km from Kampala. Gazetted as a national park in 1962, it has a profusion of big game and hosts over 77 mammal species as well as around 475 bird species. Kidepo is Uganda’s most isolated national park, but the few who make the long journey north agree that it is also the most magnificent, and ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses.

DAY 5: KIDEPO NP

After your breakfast, start your drive through the Narus Valley where you will have a nature walk in the park.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy another game drive Kidepo National Park is a savannah landscape that extends in all directions, It is home to elephant, zebra, giraffe, huge herds of buffalo, warthog, duiker, Jackson’s Hartebeest, lion, leopard, cheetah and hundreds of bird species., Buffalos, and Elephants. Other animals that may be seen roaming around include: Jackal Roan Antelope, waterbuck, Eland, Oribi, Klipspringer, and Lions etc. The park boosts of being the highest concentration of birds endemic to Uganda like: Ostrich, Kori bustard, vultures, hornbills, eagles etc

DAY 6: KIDEPO NP

After an early morning breakfast, you will go for a cultural tour in the Karamajong community. Here you will spend a wonderful evening with Karamajong people and have an insight of their way of life and beliefs. At the end of the tour you will be able to understand why their pride makes them slow to adapt to globalization. Late afternoon you will have another game drive. This will also enable you to be in full sight of varieties of birds as well.

DAY 7: DRIVE TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast proceed to the next highlight of your memorable tour Uganda. You will drive to the beautiful north-western Uganda Murchison Falls National Park.

DAY 8: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast you will have a boat ride to the Nile delta, keep a look out for a variety of bird species especially the Shoebill. In the afternoon, go for a game drive. Drive in the open African savanna in search for Lions, Leopard, Hyena, Buffalo, Elephant, Jackson Hartebeest. Oribi, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, and enjoy spotting various Bird species such as the Secretary Bird, Black Chested Snake Eagle, Tawny and Marshal Eagles Carmine and Swallow Tailed Bee-Eaters and many more.

DAY 9: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast, you shall proceed for a game drive. This is a beautiful drive across savannah, Borassus Palm Forest and grassland down to Lake Albert where the Albert Nile heads north. In the afternoon go for a boat ride up the Nile, to Murchison falls, whence the park derives its name. Enjoy these spectacular falls with a hike to the top of the falls where the Nile squeezes through a 7 meter gap and at the bottom bask Huge Nile Crocodiles.

DAY 10: ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY

After breakfast you proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here you shall have a walking Safari to the Southern White Rhinos that have been re-introduced in Uganda. Later you drive to Kampala. In the evening you will have an optional visit to Ndere Cultural Centre (Wed, Fri, Sun) or choose to spend time at leisure.

DAY 11: KAMPALA

City tour in Kampala.

DAY 12: KAMPALA – ENTEBBE

Today you will have morning visit to Mabamba swamp where most of the birding is done by canoeing, as you look out for the rare Shoebill Stork, African Water rail, Allen’s and Purple Gallinule, Squacco, Goliath, Purple, Grey Herons, a variety of Egrets, ducks.

Afternoon Optional Botanical gardens walk.

Day 13: FLIGHT BACK

You will drive to the airport and catch a flight back home concluding your beautiful holiday
