DAY 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls Np
After breakfast, you will pick up from our local Shoebill SAFARIS guide at Hotel Biyem in Kampala. Proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walking Safari to the Southern White Rhinos that have been re-introduced in Uganda. Later you continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison covers 3,840-sq km and has recorded 76 mammal species and over 450 bird species. It lies 619m at the delta and 1,292 at Rabongo Hill.
DAY 2: Murchison Falls Np
After a rather early breakfast, morning games drive. Afternoon, we’ll have a boat cruise to the bottom of the Falls. The magnificent Falls are one of Africa’s wonders and a must see for everyone. We of course cannot fail to mention that it’s from these falls that Murchison derives its name. Watch out for pods of Hippos, crocodiles and a vast number of water birds. There are high chances of seeing the Shoebill stock from which our company derives its name. Enjoy these remarkable falls with a hike to the top of the Falls where the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gap and at the bottom bask Huge Nile Crocodiles.
DAY 3: Murchison Falls Np – Kibale Np
After breakfast we begin our journey to Kibale Forest National Park for yet another exiting adventure.
On the way you visit a tea plantation if it’s enough time.
DAY 4: Kibale Np – Queen Elizabeth Np
After breakfast, you will have a Swamp Tour. The Bigodi swamps are home to about 137 species of birds, and they are rich in lush vegetation such as wild palms, figs and the dominant Polita Papyrus. The Bigodi Wetland Reserve is managed by the Kibale Association for rural development and environmental protection.
Later proceed to Queen Elizabeth NP.
DAY 5: Queen Elizabeth Np
After an early cup of tea or coffee morning game drive with Lion Tracking to the vast park for any chances of the early hunting cats, herds of elephants, antelopes, buffalos and many more.
Return to the camp for a full breakfast, free time, after lunch go for the launch cruise on the famous Kazinga channel where you get to the schools of Hippos, buffalos and a variety of beautiful water bird species like jacanas, fish eagles and pelicans along the channel. You will see the feared crocodiles as they sun bath away.
DAY 6: Queen Elizabeth Np – Bwindi
Depart for Lake Bunyonyi. In the Morning you will have a chance to have a game drive in Ishasha Wilderness where the Tree Climbing Lions are found, then continue to the home of the Mountain Gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Have Lunch on your way. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is best known for excellent gorilla tracking, however it also provides refuge to elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys and various small antelopes and 23 bird species restricted to the Albertine.
DAY 7: Gorilla Tracking
The highlight and probably the most memorable moment of your safari is meeting the gentle forest giants of Bwindi, the gorillas! Expect to walk a reasonable distance in steep and sometimes muddy trails in this beautiful Forest before you encounter gorillas. However, the walk is worthwhile as you watch the family eat, play and rest typical of a family human setting. The silverback will constantly remind the babies to behave. Evening community walk, there are several craft shops where you can get authentic souvenirs.
DAY 8: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast proceed to Mgahinga National park where you do Golden Monkey Tracking.
Later you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest Lake and a perfect place for relaxation. If you are looking for a rather private, lonely and romantic place, then Lake Bunyonyi Is the number one stop in Uganda.
DAY 9: Lake Bunyonyi
Relaxing at Lake Bunyonyi. Optional canoe trip around the lake.
Or you can swim in the Lake.
DAY 10: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo
Head to lake Mburo National park after breakfast. Lake Mburo has a variety of game including zebra, eland, and impala, which are not found in most other National Parks in Uganda. The park also is home for big numbers of waterbuck, topi, buffalo, hippo, duiker, bushbuck, klipspringer and on a good lucky day you will see oribi, reedbuck, leopard and crocodiles. Afternoon game drive.
DAY 11: Lake Mburo Np – Kampala
Set off for Kampala for your flight.
