2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour
This trip rewards you with not just Gorillas but also the beauty of the small country with the cleanest capital in Africa. Rwanda harbors the highest number of Gorillas in the world in the Volcanoes national park. Gorillas live in groups/families headed by an adult male called the Silver back. 10 gorilla families have been habituated for tracking and this Gorilla safari will give you a chance to have an eye to eye contact with these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
Day 1: Visit Kigali city and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be picked from the airport on arrival by our shoebill staff/guide, visit Kigali city, there you will visit various sites such as the Kigali genocide memorial center, Kigali convention center, and other tour sites in that town. Have lunch and then transfer to Volcanoes national park.
Return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla view lodge/Gorilla solution lodge/Da Vinci lodge.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking
Drive to the national park headquarters for a short briefing by the park ranger after which you will proceed for trekking. Start your journey to the park in search for the endangered mountain gorillas in search for a particular gorilla family. The time spent trekking is normally between 30minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family being tracked. Gorillas are wild creatures and are not located in one place they keep moving looking for where they can feed and have enough for the day. Enjoy the presence of these large primates as you watch them play and feed in the forest. You will drive back to the lodge after the tracking for refreshment before you to the airport for your return flight.
