The trip starts and ends in Kigali. The trip takes you to volcanoes national park best known for the mountain gorilla. Other mammals in the park include golden monkey, black-fronted duiker, buffalo, spotted hyena and bushbuck. The park also boosts in 178 recorded bird species that you won’t miss to notice if you’re a keen birder.
Day 1: Gorilla Tracking in volcanoes National park
You will be picked from the hotel and drive to the volcanoes park headquarters for briefing. Gorilla tracking starts very early in the morning in search for the particular family being tracked. After a family is located, the guests will spend an hour watching the gorillas as they play, eat and their general life in the jungle. Watch out for the silverback which is the leader of the group. The tracking involves walking through a thick forest you must be ready to go through that. You will also have a chance to watch the golden monkeys, elephants and other wildlife including several bird species as you trek the mountain Gorillas.
Return to the lodge sign out and head to Kigali international airport for your flight
