10 DAYS, 10 NIGHTS UGANDAN TRAIL

DAY 1: ENTEBBE-HOTEL
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your local Shoebill guide and transfer to your Hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: KAMPALA-MURCHISON FALLS
After breakfast drive North West from Kampala to Masindi Hotel for lunch. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison covers 3,840-sq km and has recorded 76 mammal species and over 450 bird species. It lies 619m at the delta and 1,292 at Rabongo Hill. The mean temperature is 0C- high and 21 0C- low. Evening hike, top of the falls and view falls from above, this is a spectacular sight, seeing falls from above.

DAY 3: MURCHISON FALLS
After a rather early breakfast, morning games drive. There are chances of spotting unique African savannah animals like giraffes, Lions, Elephants and several antelopes. Afternoon, we’ll cruise to the bottom of the falls. The falls are rare and magnificent, they are one of Africa’s wonders and a must see for everyone. We of course cannot fail to mention that it’s from these falls that Murchison derives its name. Catch up with pods of Hippos, crocodiles and a vast number of water birds. There are high chances of seeing the Shoebill stock from which our company derives its name.

DAY 4: MURCHISON-KIBALE
After break fast on our way out another possible drive to the top of the falls for a breathtaking sight and we’ll have the opportunity to experience this massive rush of water at close range as it splashes and forces its way through and above the rocks taking the pathway to the base of the falls and back. Drive to Kibale National Park for yet another exiting adventure.

DAY 5: KIBALE
After breakfast, chimp tracking, and meet the rather real cousins of humans’ beings. There is a rich bird life in this forest. If you are a keen birder you will record a reasonably high number of different bird species. Notable are various monkeys that keep jumping from one tree to another as you walk along. Lunch at the lodge, optional evening walk,

DAY 6: KIBALE – QUEEN ELIZABETH
After break fast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, possible afternoon visit thevarious crater lakes.

DAY 7: QUEEN ELIZABETH
After a cup of tea or coffee morning game drive to the vast park for any chances of the early hunting cats, herds of elephants, antelopes, buffalos and many more. Return to the camp for a full breakfast, free time, after lunch go for the launch cruise on the famous Kazinga channel where you get to the schools of Hippos, buffalos and a variety of beautiful water bird species like jacanas, fish eagles, Shoebill and pelicans along the channel. Yes get to see the feared crocodiles as they sun bath away.

DAY 8: QUEENELIZABETH – BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FORESTS
After breakfast transfer southwards to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth N.P in Ishasha where there are chances of seeing the tree-climbing lions. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. This Impenetrable Forest is still one of the best virgin tropical rain forests in East Africa. Keen birders will love this sport too.

DAY 9: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FORESTS
After breakfast, briefing, gorilla tracking and if time allows, evening community walk.Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. This Impenetrable Forest is still one of the best virgin tropical rain forests in East Africa.

DAY 10: BWINDI- KAMPALA
After breakfast begin our journey back to Kampala. Lunch enroute, enjoy the green along the route plus the famous Ankole long horned cattle. Stop over at the equator for snap shots of a lifetime. Have a chance to be in the South and Northern hemispheres at the same time.
